A leading house builder has a requirement for an experienced Adoptions Engineer to join their Technical and Engineering team based in the North West. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing the adoptions process for new build housing developments across the region. This will include overseeing all civil engineering works and infrastructure works, to enable timely achievement of Bond Reductions and Road and Sewer Adoptions.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage the overall bond liability process, including reviewing existing liability and identifying key triggers to facilitate reduction, while ensuring achievement of the build programme.
- Ensure all infrastructure inspections meet public adoption standards are carried out in accordance with company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate management information, such as the regional adoption schedule, completed estates and progress reports, to ensure bond limits are adhered to, while enabling the formulation of the appropriate company strategy.
- Manage all communication and administration associated with the adoption process, including liaising with Local Authorities, Solicitors, Estate Agents and Financial Institutions to ensure required documentation is provided and the adoption is achieved.
- Work cohesively with other departments across the Operating Company such as Technical and Commercial to ensure timely issue of maintenance certificates for roads and sewers, allowing achievement of completion targets.
- Manage transfer of open spaces, play areas and other communal land to management companies and local authorities, ensuring the process is accurate, swift and aligns with company policy.
- Advocate the Group Health, Safety and Environment Policy while ensuring compliance throughout the team to ensure health and safety standards are met.
Experience required:
- Experience in estates roads and sewer design, construction and inspection.
- Experience within a similar role is required.
- A good understanding of bonds, certificates and title deeds.
- A good understanding of Microsoft Package, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Thorough understanding of section agreements S38, S278 and S104.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Qualified to HNC or NVQ level is preferred.
