Our client is a highly respected development and regeneration specialist with an outstanding reputation for delivering transformative projects that leave a lasting legacy within local communities.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a flagship development in Newport.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile, complex project where you'll have genuine influence over commercial performance while working alongside an experienced and supportive project team.
Responsibilities
- Managing all commercial aspects of a major regeneration development
- Preparing, reviewing and negotiating subcontract packages
- Cost planning, forecasting and reporting to senior management
- Managing subcontractor payments, variations and final accounts
- Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Working closely with operational teams to maximise project profitability
- Producing accurate monthly cost reports and valuations
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within contracting or residential development
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and commercial management
- Experience managing large, complex projects from inception through to completion
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- A proactive approach with strong commercial awareness
