My client is an established, leading, national civil engineering contractor. Due to planned growth and an influx of work in their South Wales region on a major civils & water framework, they are looking to appoint, on a permanent basis, a Senior Construction Manager / Operations Manager to work on projects in the region.
The successful individual will manage a team of project managers and will be responsible for a portfolio of projects in the region. In addition, the successful individual will be responsible for overseeing teams and will be involved in preconstruction, health, safety and quality in the delivery of their projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Management of site staff operatives and sub-contractors.
- Preparing and monitoring programmes of work.
- Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments and project management plans.
- Understand tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets.
- Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors.
- Inform, consult, and involve local groups as necessary.
- Promote and ensure all work complies with safety, quality and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.
Already experienced as a Senior Project Manager, you will have a relevant industry qualification (HND/ HNC/ BEng) or equivalent, an up to date SMSTS qualification, and appropriate CSCS card. Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving license is essential and the successful candidate will be happy to travel throughout the Southern Region.
