About this Role:
An experienced Senior / Site Engineer required to work with this busy Tier 1 main contractor who is well established with a solid pipeline of work on the West Coast. Initially to work as the Site Engineer on a £300m new build office development you will be responsible for some setting out, checking of sub-contractor works, QA, dealing with technical queries, etc during the construction. This project is expected to be on site for up to 10 years over multiple phases. Reporting to Senior / Project Manager on schemes, you will be responsible for engineering functions as required, predominantly at groundworks and structures phases of works, plus also involved in external envelopes, internal walls, external works and landscaping.
Excellent opportunity to work with and progress within this busy Tier 1 main contractor. The role can remain level, or progress into site management over the long term if you choose to do so.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The contractor is the busy regional office of a larger main contractor group with roughly £100m annual turnover, and a proven track record in the delivery of medium sized new build and refurbishment schemes usually starting for £90m+, working in sectors such as Mixed Use, Commercial & High Rise Residential.
Requirements:
- The successful candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical knowledge, organisational skills, and good problem solving ability.
- Proven track record of work for a top twenty main contractor advantageous.
- Ideally from a site engineering background with an eye for detail, you will possess good planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.
- A degree in Civil Engineering is ideal.
- High standards, attention to detail and the drive to deliver on spec and programme will be very well rewarded with excellent salary, benefits, promotional and development prospects.
