A leading tier 1 nationwide contractor are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a renowned leading business with an extensive background as a reputable contractor. The Health & Safety Manager will play a key part in the development and future of the business, reporting directly to the Head of Health & Safety.
About the role of Health & Safety Manager
This tier 1 contractor traditionally specialises in large complex projects ranging up to £300M across the UK. The role of Health & Safety Manager will be joining an immediate site team based on site in Bristol.
Responsibilities for Health & Safety Manager:
- Ensure the business complies with Health & Safety legislation and standards
- Working closely with and building relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Consulting with the client and directors to ensure they are advised with regards to best practice and ongoings within site
- Provide support during the planning stage, method statements and reporting statistics
Requirements for Health & Safety Manager:
- Previous experience within the construction industry and a similar role is fundamental
- Relevant degree or qualification within either construction, occupational health & safety or NEBOSH
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO9001, ISO45001 OR ISO14001
