At Fawkes & Reece we are currently assisting a Tier 1 Contractor who is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join their project team. This is an exceptional opportunity to be based on a flagship project in Bristol.

About the role

As Health & Safety Manager you will be responsible for ensuring site safety and compliance throughout the project. Complying with company best practice and legislation standards, promoting a safe environment throughout the site and business. Typically, our client works on large scale, high-spec projects up to £300M.

Responsibilities

  • Head up all Health & Safety across the scheme including push for continuous development and improvement for health & safety within the business across all functions.
  • Proactively train, teach and lead regarding correct protocol, business standards & management systems.
  • Represent the business from a health & safety standpoint with stakeholders, clients & subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience being Health & Safety lead on a similar value scheme or working with a Tier 1 contractor.
  • An up to date and strong understanding of current Health & Safety legislations and changes.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Relevant qualifications including NEBOSH Diploma & preferably a certified member of IOSH.
