Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor that collaborates with local authorities and private companies on civils and infrastructure related projects in South Wales, Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset. They are delivering a project worth £12m with a scope of works that includes earthworks, drainage and culverts.
They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join one of their busy teams. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be reporting directly to a Senior Quantity Surveyor in a small team of up to 10 that includes other Assistant and Senior Quantity Surveyors. You will be involved in (but not limited to):
- Accurate monthly forecasting
- Producing and sending enquiries with relevant documentation to subcontractors
- Producing monthly reports and cost value reconciliation
- Change control and producing compensation events
- Producing, submitting, and agreeing monthly applications
- Attending weekly progress meetings
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Knowledge and understanding of basic quantity surveying principles
- Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)
- Candidates must also be able to drive as the role will involve site visits
