Assistant Site Manager

A leading national housebuilder is looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join the team on a multi-phase residential development. This is an exciting opportunity to join a project from the early stages, working alongside an experienced Project Manager and Site Manager to help deliver a high-quality scheme from the ground up.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about residential construction, driven to progress their career, and eager to be part of a structured, high-performing site team.

The Role

As Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the development, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest build quality standards.

Working closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the management of subcontractors on site
  • Ensuring works are carried out in line with programme, quality, and safety expectations
  • Assisting with site inspections and maintaining NHBC standards
  • Monitoring build progress across plots and reporting updates to the site team
  • Helping coordinate trades and materials during the early construction phases
  • Maintaining high levels of health & safety across site operations
  • Supporting with quality checks, snagging processes, and general site administration

About You

We are looking for an ambitious individual with a strong understanding of residential construction who wants to build a long-term career with a leading developer.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working on new build residential developments
  • A good understanding of NHBC standards
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to coordinate subcontractors and maintain build quality
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and develop

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential construction
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid
