Assistant Quantity Surveyor Opportunity
My client is leading housebuilder with a reputation for building large-scale communities across the UK. Due to a significant increase in key projects, the company is now looking for a driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Midlands based Commercial Team to support a variety of residential developments. You\’ll play a key role in assisting with commercial delivery of residential development schemes.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for:
- Working under the Senior Quantity surveyor, providing regular reports and updates
- Assisting with the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and valuations
- Supporting the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitoring and controlling project costs
- Assisting with the preparation of final accounts
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Requirements
- Ideally HNC qualified in surveying or construction or equivalent
- Residential experience is ideal but not essential (experience in housebuilding, housing associations, or main contracting)
- Strong commercial awareness with a good understanding of construction methods and materials
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Proficient with relevant software (such as COINS or similar)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
- An ambitious team player who can work independently and part of a team
