The role:
- Supervise and lead a team of Trades working on a Refurbishment of flats, delegating tasks and ensuring that work is carried out effectively.
- Plan and organize groundworks activities according to project timelines and specifications.
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to determine the scope of work and identify potential challenges.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Oversee excavation, backfilling, and compaction activities to ensure proper site preparation.
- Manage the installation of drainage systems, including pipes, culverts, and manholes.
- Monitor the installation of foundations and footings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to engineering drawings.
- Supervise the placement of concrete and other materials, ensuring proper curing and finishing.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure that work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Manage equipment and material resources efficiently, coordinating deliveries and maintenance as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to groundworkers, promoting skill development and adherence to best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in groundworks.
- In-depth knowledge of groundworks techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
