Estimating Manager
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimating professional to join an established main contractor based in Dorset. The business has been established for over 100 years, undertaking projects across a range of sectors including education, healthcare, residential and commercial with projects typically valuing up to 10mil. Projects are predominantly competitively tendered but they have won a place on some local authority frameworks.
About the role of Estimating Manager:
As Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for the estimating team, reporting into the Managing Director. You will play a key work-winning team, identifying new opportunities and creating tenders which are competitive whilst maximising profits.
Key Responsibilities as Estimating Manager:
- Manage the tender process from initial conception
- Work closely with the pre-construction team
- Identify new business opportunities
- Communicate effectively with the delivery teams
Key Requirements for this Estimating Manager role:
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in an estimating role within a main contractor
- Have experience tendering single and two stage projects
- Have a track record of successfully tendering projects valued up to 10mil
- Live within Dorset and be happy to travel to office and site when required
- Have the full right to work in the UK.
