Experienced Health & Safety Advisor required to join a leading tier 1 contractor for the delivery of multiple framework framework scheme continuing for the next three years in the South coast. With future works in the surrounding area including Surrey, Somerset, Bristol, Hampshire & Dorset. These are negotiated project for key clients with a good pipeline of future works in the area.
Reporting to the Regional SHEQ Manager and working with the Operations Managers and Site Teams, you will be responsible for the management of the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality systems from pre-construction phase through to handover
This Health & Safety Advisor role will involve regular client liaison, SHEQ Guidance, supporting bid & tender stage, carrying out risk assessments, method statements and CDM plans, responsible for inductions, development of SHEQ material and training.
As Health & Safety Advisor you will lead your projects as NO.1 SHEQ support, holding ultimate responsibility for the health & safety standards throughout sites and working alongside the health & safety team to provide guidance and support.
This Health & Safety Advisor role is with a busy Tier 1 contractor group, with a turnover in excess of £200m, and secured workload in the Water, Telecoms, Residential, Retail & Education sector, etc.
Projects range in size from the smaller £10m up the £100M in value. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor looking to work regionally, with a proven track record in the civils or construction sector.
You will be an experienced Health & Safety Advisor with a proven track record within an established main contracting organisation, demonstrating the ability to deliver similar value schemes. Key attributes will include excellent client, and site team management ability, SHEQ standards knowledge and the relevant / NEBOSH certificate, plus drive and determination for self development and policy & procedure enhancement.
