Estimator – Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Fawkes & Reece are proud to be working alongside a UK leading structural steelwork specialist based in Wakefield.

As Estimator you will play a crucial part of the commercial team working on a range of building frames and complex structures across a range of sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, MoD, Leisure, Infrastructure, Residential and retail, with projects typically ranging from 2m – 10m.

The role of an Estimator:

You will be responsible for working from detailed drawings and specifications on a range of projects from simple building frames to high complex structures. You will need to be highly organised to plan and prioritise your work to meet tight deadlines, as well as the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.

You will need to be confident in meeting clients and understand different building solutions and have the aptitude to read and work with engineers and architects drawings.

Requirements of an Estimator:

• HND or equivalent type qualification in an appropriate technical or engineering related discipline.
• Experience within the construction sector
• Strong IT skills, and the ability to work with software packages such as Excel and Word.
• Be able to read and work with technical drawings.
