Fawkes and Reece are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator/Manager or Project Manager to oversee NEC (New Engineering Contract) compliance for a significant utilities project in Cambridgeshire.
About the role of Contracts Administrator / Project Manager
The Contracts Administrator / Project Manager will support and manage NEC compliance throughout the project. They will ensure that all contractual obligations are met, risks are managed effectively, and the project is delivered in alignment with NEC standards. NEC knowledge is an absolute must for this role; candidates without the knowledge need not apply.
Responsibilities of the Contracts Administrator / Project Manager
- Contract Management: Administer and manage NEC contracts, ensuring all parties fulfil their obligations and that the project adheres to contractual terms.
- Documentation Maintenance: Manage and maintain contract documentation to ensure compliance with NEC protocols and company policies.
- Variation and Valuation Support: Assist with handling variations, valuations, and payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a point of contact between clients, suppliers, and site teams, facilitating clear and effective communication.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all permits, safety documentation, and site access requirements are obtained and maintained in accordance with project needs.
- Meeting Participation: Attend client meetings to provide administrative support and project updates as required.
Requirements for Contracts Administrator / Project Manager
- Educational Background: HND or Degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: NEC3 or NEC4 Project Manager Accreditation is highly desirable.
- Experience: Proven experience in contract administration within the energy transmission sector, with a strong emphasis on NEC contracts.
- Skills: Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask, confident communication skills with experience in client interactions, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management software.
