As Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining the commercial team on a D&B contract for the construction of 87 flats across 4 residential blocks between 3 & 4 storeys high valued at £25m. This is a full-time site-based role with office visits. The duration of this project is 2 years.
You will be based on site in Surrey/South West London. The company are an award winning developer/contractor who have been in the construction industry for over 25 years with a turnover of over £1bn. They are very busy at the moment with multiple upcoming projects in this region.
Key Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor:- Develop a detailed cost plan
- Plan initial cost estimates
- Identify financial risks
- Compile and issue tender packages
- Monitor project costs against the budget throughout the project's life cycle
- Provide regular cost reports
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
- Must have minimum of 4 years of experience at a contractor
- Residential experience is ideal but not essential
- Live within commutable distance to Surrey
- Degree in a construction related subject is ideal
- Progression path to Senior Quantity Surveyor
