My client is a Tier 1 Construction Company. They are presently delivering a major (£200m+) Civil Engineering project near Witney, just west of Oxford and are looking to add a freelance Site Engineer to their existing team. This is a long-term contract opportunity of at least 6+ months. Due to the fast-track nature of this project, my client is looking for an individual to work 12 shifts on, 2 days off pattern of 10 hours a day initially rising to 12 hours per day. The company is prepared to offer generous rate uplifts and plenty of overtime.
Due to the extremely high level of security on this project the client can only consider British Nationals for the role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Setting out roads, structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
- Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
- Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
- Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client’s and business’s requirement
- Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
- Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
- Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
