We are currently seeking an experienced External Site Manager to join a leading contractor on a flagship £65 million school new build project in London. This External Site Manager role offers the opportunity to take ownership of all external packages from early stages through to completion on a high-profile scheme.
You will be responsible for managing all external works on a £65m new build education project, including groundworks, drainage, hard landscaping, and external finishes. Working as part of a strong site team, you will report into the Project Manager and play a key role in delivering the external phase on programme and to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all external packages including groundworks, drainage, and hard landscaping
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with the programme
- Coordinating daily site activities and resolving any on-site issues
- Ensuring quality control and compliance with project specifications and drawings
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing external packages on new build projects
- Strong background in groundworks and associated trades
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates
- Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme on site
