The company works with a number of Local Authorities and Housing Providers and has a great reputation for their excellent delivery of decarbonisation work. Established for several decades, they have experienced a period of sustained growth over the last several years. To continue this growth, the company is recruiting for a Business Development Director to join their team in a key leadership role.
Summary of the role:
This is a pivotal and strategic role for the business, reporting directly to the MD. You will be responsible for a large team consisting of 3 Business Development Managers and overseeing the Bid Function of the business, as well as the Estimating department. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies for the Business Development Managers, managing client relationships, and representing the company in client meetings and at events/conferences.
This is a strategic role where you will identify opportunities and ensure the development of relationships with Local Authorities/Housing Providers in alignment with company goals.
Required Experience:
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working for a Contractor within the Retrofit/Decarbonisation sector and possess in-depth knowledge of Social Housing. Experience in managing teams of Business Development Managers, bid teams, and estimating teams is essential. The role will be based in North West but will require national travel, including to the company's regional offices and to conferences and events.
