An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading Tier 1 Principal Contractor delivering a major healthcare refurbishment scheme in West London. The successful candidate will take the lead on a live hospital ward refurbishment project, managing works from pre-construction through to completion while ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations. This role would suit a strong construction professional with refurbishment experience within complex live environments. Previous healthcare project experience is desirable; however, strong NEC contract knowledge is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day project delivery on live hospital ward refurbishment works
- Manage programme, cost, quality, and subcontractor performance
- Coordinate site teams, consultants, and client stakeholders
- Ensure works are delivered safely and in line with NHS and infection control requirements
- Drive programme performance and resolve project risks/issues proactively
- Administer and manage NEC contract obligations
- Maintain excellent communication with all project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures and company standards
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering refurbishment or fit-out projects as a Project Manager
- NEC contract experience is mandatory
- Experience working for a Tier 1 Principal Contractor preferred
- Healthcare/NHS project experience desirable
- Strong understanding of live environment construction delivery
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred
