Opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to work for a multi-billion turnover construction and development business with a turnover more than 1 Billion. This is an exciting new role due to additional workload secured on one of their major projects.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will work within the commercial team and be site-based in Suffolk, working on a mixture of live and upcoming phases. For this project, our client has a series of contracts ranging from a major multiphase accommodation scheme consisting of 16 blocks of residential, leisure facilities, cafes, and infrastructure works. Additionally, our client has a series of 10 - 40 Million education, healthcare, and commercial offices.

For this role, our client is looking for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to be based in Suffolk for at least a period of 3-4 years, with further pipeline and new projects being secured with the existing client. You will be reporting into the commercial lead and responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with cost management by tracking material and labour costs and updating cost reports
  • Supporting procurement by preparing tender documents and helping select subcontractors for packages
  • Site visits
  • Measuring completed work

Requirements for Trainee Quantity Surveyor:

  • Degree qualified
  • Commutable distance to Suffolk
  • IT skills
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • Relevant work experience
