We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a busy residential new-build development in Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role with a well-established contractor, working alongside an experienced and supportive site management team on a high-quality housing development.
As Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring homes are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Site Manager with the daily management of site operations.
- Coordinate subcontractors and trades to maintain programme deadlines.
- Oversee finishing works, snagging, and defect resolution across multiple plots.
- Carry out quality inspections throughout all stages of the build.
- Assist with customer care, plot handovers, and home demonstrations.
- Monitor build progress and help ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety on site.
- Ensure all homes meet NHBC standards and company quality expectations.
- Liaise effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential house building.
- Timber frame experience.
- Experience with apartments.
- Experience working on volume housing developments.
- Strong knowledge of finishing works, snagging, and quality control.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage multiple plots simultaneously.
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- First Aid qualification.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
