Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a commercially aware Quantity Surveyor with 3-4 years' experience and strong prior knowledge of groundworks. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects valued between £500k - £2.5m, working closely with site and senior management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of groundworks projects from start to final account
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, interim valuations and final accounts
- Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations and payments
- Assess variations, prepare claims and support negotiations
- Monitor project costs, cashflow forecasting and reporting
- Attend site and commercial meetings as required
About You
- 3-4 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Strong prior knowledge and experience within groundworks
- Experience managing projects valued £500k - £2.5m
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Relevant construction or surveying qualification desirable
- Full UK driving licence
