An established and growing Tier 1 construction business is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join its project team and take responsibility for the site engineering function across high-value construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer, Senior Site Engineer or Section Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, with responsibility for leading a team of Site Engineers and supporting the successful delivery of major projects. The Role Working alongside the wider project team, subcontractors, consultants and supply chain, you will provide technical and engineering leadership across a range of construction and civils packages, including: Earthworks Piling and groundworks Drainage Structural steel Cladding Concrete structures General construction packages Key Responsibilities Take management responsibility for the site engineering function Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation Manage setting out and dimensional control to required tolerances Commission and manage external surveys Develop and manage temporary works requirements Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies and procedures Oversee RAMS, inductions and site engineering activities Produce and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) Maintain accurate quality and compliance records Provide engineering input into the project programme and site logistics Monitor progress and report against programme Chair subcontractor progress meetings Produce weekly and monthly progress reports Identify programme risks and communicate these to the senior project team Maintain accurate site records and contractual correspondence Identify and manage changes that may impact project delivery Lead, support and develop Site Engineers Conduct PDRs and manage training and development requirements About You The successful candidate will have: A Degree, HND or equivalent qualification 5+ years' experience in a similar engineering role Strong experience in setting out large-scale projects Experience within groundworks and steel-framed buildings A valid driving licence SMSTSDesirable experience includes: Large-scale construction projects Concrete structures, including slipform or jumpform First Aid training Fieldview and 4P Viewpoint Strong IT skills What's on Offer?
