We are currently seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to join a major infrastructure project based in Suffolk, East Anglia. This is a fantastic opportunity for an M&E Engineer with experience in infrastructure, civil engineering, utilities, highways, rail, or major construction projects to join a long-term project delivery team on a freelance CIS basis.

The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating Mechanical & Electrical works across site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Mechanical & Electrical installation works on site
  • Coordinate subcontractors and specialist trades
  • Ensure works are delivered to specification and quality standards
  • Monitor health & safety compliance across M&E activities
  • Review drawings, technical documentation, and site progress
  • Support planning, commissioning, and project delivery teams
  • Resolve technical and engineering issues on site
  • Liaise with site management, engineers, and subcontractors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as an M&E Engineer on infrastructure or major construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical systems and site coordination
  • Experience managing subcontractors and site activities
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • CSCS Card required
  • Relevant engineering qualification preferred
