We are looking for a reliable and proactive Caretaker / Handyman to join our team and help maintain a safe, clean, and well-presented site environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with practical maintenance experience and a strong understanding of site upkeep and health & safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general caretaker and handyman duties
- Complete minor repairs and maintenance tasks across the site
- Change locks, handles, and door furniture when required
- Conduct weekly checks of fire call points and emergency systems
- Test AOV systems and smoke alarms in line with compliance procedures
- Ensure communal and external areas are clean, tidy, and safe
- Report maintenance issues and health & safety concerns promptly
- Assist with general site upkeep and preventative maintenance
- Follow all company health & safety policies and procedures
- Work independently and manage workload effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or handyman role
- Good practical skills and knowledge of basic building maintenance
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Basic understanding of health & safety regulations preferred
