A leading Principal Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team on a £30m school project in Essex, currently entering the fit-out stage. This is a key role on site, acting as a strong Number 2 to the Project Manager, helping to drive programme, quality, and subcontractor coordination through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations during the fit-out phase
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors across multiple trades
  • Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
  • Maintain strict health & safety compliance on site
  • Support the Project Manager with reporting, programme tracking, and logistics
  • Drive quality control and snagging processes through to handover
