A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking Site Engineers to join a high-performing, delivery-focused team on a £70 million flagship aviation infrastructure project at Heathrow Airport. Working in partnership with Heathrow, you will play a key role in delivering a major investment programme that will transform the airport's infrastructure, including the resurfacing of taxiways and runways as part of the H7 Framework. This £70 million programme forms part of Heathrow's long-term investment strategy, delivering a step-change in the customer experience while supporting the airport's journey to becoming a net-zero aviation hub.
This is a rare opportunity to work on one of the UK's most prestigious aviation infrastructure projects, delivering complex civil engineering works within a live operational airport environment. Joining an experienced project team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of critical airside infrastructure while developing your career with a Tier 1 contractor renowned for its collaborative culture, technical excellence and commitment to delivering high-quality, landmark projects.
Responsibilities
- Carry out setting out and surveying duties across the project
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and programme requirements
- Produce and maintain accurate QA documentation, inspection records and as-built surveys
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards
- Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to support efficient project delivery
- Identify and resolve technical issues, raising RFIs where required
- Carry out site inspections and quality checks throughout construction
- Maintain accurate records of progress, surveys and engineering activities
- Work collaboratively with the wider project team to ensure successful delivery of the framework
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Experience working on highways, aviation, motorways or heavy civil engineering projects is desirable
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience producing QA documentation and as-built records
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively within a project team
