Fawkes & Reece is working with a leading North West based contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their established commercial team based in the North West. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across education, healthcare, commercial, industrial and public sector developments, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected regional contractor with a secure pipeline of work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders, reviewing drawings and specifications, managing supply chain pricing enquiries and supporting the pre-construction team throughout the bid process. The role would suit an Estimator with experience working for a main contractor who is commercially aware, organised and confident managing multiple tenders simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
  • Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Attending site visits and pre-tender meetings
  • Working closely with operational and commercial teams
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as an Estimator within construction
  • Main contractor experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and pricing
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
