Design Manager / Senior Design Manager - Tier 1 Contractor - Civils Chatham, Kent; Chichester, West Sussex. Though you will also need to visit the sites you are supporting, as well as have the option to work from home.

Core Hours: 10 to 3

What will you be responsible for?

As a Design Manager, you will be working with the Project Managers and Project Directors, supporting them to check and empower the design partners to deliver to plan. You will also be tracking and reporting on the design progress of their particular projects.

Your day to day will include:

  • Lead and manage engineering design delivery for assigned projects.
  • Spearhead and optimise the engineering assurance process for designs prepared by partner at outline design and Capital Delivery partners at tender and construction design.
  • Work collaboratively with other project functions to deliver outcomes efficiently.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance affordability and value throughout the design process.
  • Ensure compliance with Construction Design.
