We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, working on major industrial and logistics projects across the midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Senior QS with experience in I&L, warehouses, sheds, distribution centres or other large-scale industrial projects to join a high-performing team delivering complex, high-value schemes.
The Role
- You will take a senior role in managing the commercial and contractual performance of projects from pre-construction through to completion, working closely with the project team, client, consultants and supply chain.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the commercial performance of major projects
- Cost planning, forecasting and financial reporting
- Procurement and subcontract management
- Preparing and reviewing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Managing commercial risk and contractual obligations
- Leading commercial negotiations with clients and subcontractors
- Providing commercial advice to the wider project team
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed commercial targets
