My client is a leading civil engineering contractor. Due to planned and continuous growth, they are looking to take on a Contract Administrator on a permanent basis. Your role will be to support the administration of contracts on a major infrastructure project located in Hampshire. The role will involve a wide range of contract-related activities, including programme management, change control, risk management, dispute avoidance, and procurement.
You will be responsible for assisting with:
- Legal agreements relating to licences, consents, sureties, and bonds
- Insurance and warranty documentation
- Reviewing proposed agreements and documents to ensure they accurately reflect agreed terms
- Managing the change process (Compensation Events) and ensuring key deadlines are achieved
- Preparing draft correspondence
- Handling contractual matters with supply chain partners when required
- Liaising with clients' and statutory providers' legal representatives, and consulting internal legal counsel where necessary
- Reviewing contract documentation and preparing advisory notes outlining contractual requirements, together with suggested responses and compliance actions
Responsible for:
- Organising and attending meetings and negotiations, taking notes, and issuing minutes and action points
- Administering the contract communications system
- Producing reports and supporting documentation as requested
Required qualifications, skills and experience:
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Data entry and data management skills
- Quantity Surveying experience desirable
- Full driving licence
- GCSEs in Maths and English
- Degree or equivalent higher-level qualification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
