We're recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's leading specialist structural engineering and construction contractors for an exceptional Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of multiple high-profile RC Frame developments across London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a contractor renowned for delivering technically complex reinforced concrete structures, deep basements and structural packages on some of the capital's most prestigious residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
This isn't a role for someone looking to step up—our client is looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer who can hit the ground running from day one and lead the engineering function on challenging, fast-paced projects.
The Role
As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll take ownership of the engineering delivery across major RC Frame packages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading the engineering delivery of complex RC Frame and structural works.
- Managing and mentoring Section Engineers and Site Engineers.
- Coordinating engineering activities across multiple work fronts.
- Reviewing construction methodologies, sequencing and temporary works.
- Liaising with design teams, project management and subcontractors.
- Overseeing setting out, quality assurance, inspections and engineering records.
- Identifying engineering risks and implementing practical solutions.
- Supporting project planning, programme delivery and technical problem-solving.
- Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Driving engineering excellence across every phase of the project.
Requirements
The client has been very clear about the calibre of engineer they're looking for. You'll need to demonstrate:
- Extensive experience as a Senior Project Engineer on large-scale RC Frame projects.
- A proven track record delivering complex reinforced concrete structures in London.
- Strong technical knowledge of RC Frame construction methodologies.
- Experience managing engineering teams on major construction projects.
- The confidence to lead, make decisions and resolve technical challenges on site.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- CSCS Card (essential).
- SMSTS and Temporary Works experience would be advantageous.
