About the role of Senior Commercial Manager
Our Client is a huge tier 1 main contractor based in Central London with an outstanding £1bill+ turnover! They are a very reputable business with a huge pipeline of work and have been around for more than 100 years. They work across the commercial office, custodial, education, defence, energy, healthcare and more sectors.
Our Client is looking for a Senior Commercial Manager that will work on a high profile, high value project of £250mill+. They are looking for someone that has commercial lead experience, has worked with a main contractor (preferably tier 1), is degree qualified, has over 10 years' experience, has worked on major projects, and has experience of large and complex claims.
Responsibilities
- Act as Commercial lead on a high profile, high value project (£250 million plus), leading on all elements of contract procedures
- Lead the commercial team and work with the commercial director (projects) to create the project execution plan
- Provide a comprehensive service to address any contractual or commercial issues of the project as part of the Operational Risk Assessment (ORA), supporting strategic tender decisions
- Regularly report on commercial data, including forecasting
- Work in conjunction with design team advising on budgets and affordability
- Ensure the strategy for contracted works is developed and takes into consideration the procurement procedures
Requirements for Senior Commercial Manager
- Significant experience working on major projects (£150 million plus) as the Commercial Lead, ideally within the commercial development/mixed use sector preferably Tier 1
- Experienced in JCT forms of contract
- Detailed working knowledge of contract and commercial law
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
- Team management experience
- Experience of large and complex claims
- MRCIS qualified (highly desirable), Degree or equivalent in relevant commercial subject
What we offer for Senior Commercial Manager
- Location: Central London
- Salary: £120k to £150k max depending upon experience.
- Bonus: Discretionary 24% annual bonus based on Company/Operating Unit Performance.
- Car Grade/Car Allowance £6,900pa
- London Travel: £2,870pa
