Fawkes & Reece are working with an established independent façade contractor based in Cardiff who are seeking an experienced Draughtsman / CAD Technician to join their team on a freelance basis. We are looking for someone with proven experience working on cladding and façade projects, who can provide high-quality technical drawing support across a range of commercial and residential schemes. The role of Draughtsman / CAD Technician will be site based working on projects in and around Cardiff.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience within the façade and cladding industry is essential
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit experience advantageous)
  • Ability to produce detailed fabrication, construction and installation drawings
  • Strong understanding of façade systems, rainscreen cladding, and associated components
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

The Role:

  • Preparation and coordination of technical drawings and details
  • Liaising with project teams, contractors and suppliers
  • Assisting with design development and project delivery

Benefits:

  • Temporary role
  • To start ASAP
  • 12 months work - could continue for the very long term or go permanent for the right candidate.
  • Day rate - £250 to £300 per day (depending on experience)
  • Location: Cardiff
