A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an ambitious and driven Assistant Site Manager to join the team on a major flagship construction project in Cardiff. Working alongside an experienced senior management team, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the project from construction through to completion, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the day-to-day management of site operations
- Coordinate subcontractors and monitor progress against programme
- Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at all times
- Support quality control and snagging processes
- Liaise with site teams, consultants, and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate site records and reports
- Help drive productivity and programme performance
- Previous experience working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor
- Experience as either an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor on large-scale construction projects
- Strong understanding of site operations, sequencing, and subcontractor management
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations and site procedures
- SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications preferred
- Proactive attitude with the ambition to progress within a leading contractor environment
