About the role of Senior Estimator
- Looking for a Senior Estimator to work on a long term commercial build.
- The project value is 5,000,000.
- Responsible for managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final submission.
- Working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Produce accurate, competitive, and commercially sound tenders.
Responsibilities of Senior Estimator
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Attend site visits, tender interviews, and client meetings.
- Work collaboratively with the pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams.
- Assess project risks and opportunities during the tender process.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, material costs, and supply chain pricing.
- Support and mentor junior estimators where appropriate.
Requirements of Senior Estimator
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within the construction industry.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent analytical skills.
- Experience pricing a range of construction projects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
