Fawkes & Reece South are working with a main contractor that collaborates with local authorities and private companies on civils and infrastructure related projects in South Wales, Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset. They are delivering a project worth £12m with a scope of works that includes earthworks, drainage and culverts.

They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join one of their busy teams. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be reporting directly to a Senior Quantity Surveyor in a small team of up to 10 that includes other Assistant and Senior Quantity Surveyors. You will be involved in (but not limited to):

  • Accurate monthly forecasting
  • Producing and sending enquiries with relevant documentation to subcontractors
  • Producing monthly reports and cost value reconciliation
  • Change control and producing compensation events
  • Producing, submitting, and agreeing monthly applications
  • Attending weekly progress meetings

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic quantity surveying principles
  • Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)
  • Candidates must also be able to drive as the role will involve site visits
