Are you a BIM Technician with experience of managing BIM and MEP models and drawings? This is an opportunity to join one of the most reputable commercial office fit out M&E contractors in London. They have a reputation for delivering fast-paced fit out projects for the UK's leading fit out contractors. The business has just been acquired by a new managing Director who has aspirations to significantly increase turnover and over the past 12 months has managed to grow their client list even further. This business is looking for an MEP BIM Technician to join their team and support the development of high-quality Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) models and drawings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for Building Information Modelling (BIM) and a keen interest in developing their technical skills in the construction and engineering industry.
Responsibilities of a BIM Technician
- Assist in creating and modifying Revit MEP models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Work closely with engineers and senior technicians to produce accurate and detailed drawings.
- Ensure models and drawings adhere to company and industry standards.
- Assist with clash detection, coordination, and integration of MEP services within multidisciplinary projects.
- Maintain and update project documentation in compliance with BIM protocols.
Requirements of a BIM Technician
- Education: Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
- Software Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP (AutoCAD and Navisworks experience is a plus).
- Understanding of MEP systems and willingness to develop expertise in this area.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
