Site Engineer An exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Site Engineer to join a leading contractor on a major steel frame industrial warehouse project in Basingstoke. This Site Engineer role offers a long-term freelance contract, providing the opportunity to work on a large-scale industrial development and play a key role in the successful delivery of the project. About the Role of Site Engineer As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the construction team throughout the delivery of a steel frame warehouse scheme. Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers, and subcontractors, you will ensure all setting out, surveying, and engineering duties are completed accurately and in line with programme requirements. This role is ideal for an engineer with experience on industrial, logistics, distribution, or steel frame construction projects who is looking to work on a significant development with a well-established contractor. Responsibilities for Site Engineer Carrying out all setting out duties across the warehouse development * Managing QA processes and maintaining accurate site records * Producing and completing as-built surveys and site documentation * Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications * Coordinating subcontractors and resolving technical issues on site * Conducting site inspections and assisting with quality control procedures * Supporting the management team with programme and progress tracking * Maintaining health & safety standards across all engineering activitiesRequirements for Site Engineer Previous experience as a Site Engineer on industrial, logistics, or warehouse projects * Strong experience working on steel frame construction projects * Proficient with surveying equipment including GPS and Total Station * Experience managing QA documentation and as-built records * CSCS Card required * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills * Ability to work closely with site teams and subcontractors to drive project deliveryOur client is a well-established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering large-scale industrial and logistics developments across the UK.
