Quantity Surveyor role for a London based Tier 1 Main Contractor with a turnover of over £1bn.
Your role as Quantity Surveyor will be to work on a £75m hotel scheme. This will consist of the existing hotel closing, and refitting the rooms and communal area. It's a tower block with podium, full strip out and cut & curve project. The duration will be 90 weeks. This will allow you the opportunity to work with a Tier 1 Main Contractor and an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who will support you. You will be a no2 on site. The company have been established for over 20 years and have a strong pipeline of work in London. Their projects are across a range of sectors meaning you will gain a lot of exposure in the construction industry. They are progressive in the way they offer promotion and it is done on a merit basis and competency as opposed to longevity.
Key Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor:- Managing packages from procurement through to final accounting
- Working with the wider team to ensure subcontractors are managed on site
- CVRs
- Reviewing drawings
- Working collaboratively with the internal team and clients
- Degree in a construction related subject
- Minimum of 6 years experience with another main contractor
- Competent in managing subcontractor packages and payments
- Live within commutable distance to Central London
