The Multi-Trade Maintenance Technician role:
As a Multi-Trade Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance across a portfolio of residential properties.
You will be expected to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, aiming to complete repairs to a high standard on the first visit wherever possible. The role involves a range of general maintenance duties, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating, joinery and basic electrical maintenance within your level of competence.
This is a client-facing role, so you will regularly interact with residents, international students and guests. A professional appearance, good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential.
You will also be required to record completed works through a mobile maintenance system, provide before-and-after photographs and report any additional defects or issues requiring specialist attention.
Requirements for the Multi-Trade Maintenance Technician:
- Minimum 5 years' practical multi-trade maintenance experience
- Strong experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating and general property repairs
- Good understanding of basic electrical systems and domestic appliances
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues independently
- Good spoken English and strong communication skills
- Professional, punctual and customer-focused approach
- High standards of workmanship, cleanliness and attention to detail
- Comfortable using a smartphone or mobile application to record job updates
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple maintenance jobs throughout the day
