Finance Director Role
Full–time, permanent position
Based 5 days a week in Romford
Need to have strong construction experience
Core Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead annual planning, budgeting, and rolling cash flow forecasting processes.
- Review contract Cost–Value Reconciliations (CVRs), work in progress (WIP), and project margins.
- Monitor financial performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational reporting.
Financial Control & Governance
- Oversee statutory reporting, management accounts, and financial/audit compliance.
- Ensure strict adherence to construction–specific regulations, tax requirements (such as CIS – Construction Industry Scheme in the UK), and long–term contract accounting rules.
- Manage working capital, credit control, and treasury/cash management across multi–entity portfolios.
Leadership & Systems
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and project accounting teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance systems, controls, and reporting workflows
