We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yardman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the yard organised and safe, assisting with deliveries, moving site equipment and supporting the wider site team with day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
General yard duties, keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised.
Collecting, moving and stacking barriers and other site equipment.
Assisting with incoming and outgoing deliveries.
Acting as a Banksman when required, guiding vehicles safely on and around site.
Opening and closing site gates and ensuring access points are secure.
Loading and unloading materials and equipment safely.
Moving materials around the yard using appropriate equipment.
Carrying out regular checks of the yard and reporting any hazards or damaged equipment.
Assisting site operatives and drivers as required.
Following all site health and safety procedures.
Carrying out any other reasonable duties required to support the site team.
Requirements
Valid CSCS Card/Ticket.
Valid UK driving licence.
Previous experience working in a construction yard, site environment or similar role is preferred.
Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties.
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to work safely and follow instructions.
