An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager / Package Manager to join a leading Tier 1 Principal Contractor on a flagship construction scheme in the stadia, entertainment sector valued at approximately £300 million.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of key construction packages on a high-profile project, initially leading the civils and superstructure packages, before progressing to support and manage additional packages as the scheme develops.
The Role
- Lead the delivery of the civils and superstructure packages from planning through to completion.
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate with the wider project team, consultants and supply chain to ensure seamless package integration.
- Monitor progress, resolve technical and construction challenges, and drive programme performance.
- Take on responsibility for additional packages as the project progresses, offering excellent scope for development and increased responsibility.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor / Principal Contractor.
- Experience as a Project Manager, Package Manager or Senior Engineer ready to take the next step.
- A strong background in managing major construction packages, ideally civils and superstructure.
- A civil engineering background would be highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, delivery-focused approach with the ability to operate within a complex, large-scale project environment.
