Fawkes & Reece are working with a prestige Tier 1 main contractor that delivers large-scale residential developments, including purpose-built student accommodation and retirement living apartments. Their projects are typically high-rise RC frame developments, and due to continued growth they are looking to recruit an experienced Carpenter or Joiner who wants to progress into a Site Finishing Supervisor role specialising in passive fire snagging and finishing works. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a carpentry background who wants to move into site supervision while developing specialist skills in passive fire protection.
The Role
- You will work alongside the site management and aftercare teams, supporting finishing, snagging and fire-related carpentry works across major residential developments.
- Projects are located across Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester, with travel and accommodation covered when working away from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise carpentry operatives completing finishing and remedial works
- Coordinate and manage snagging activities on site
- Inspect works to ensure high quality standards
- Support and inspect passive fire carpentry elements
- Work closely with Site Managers and Project Managers
- Ensure works meet Health & Safety and building regulations
