Fawkes & Reece South are working with a leading main contractor who are seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join one of their busy commercial teams. They are working on a £90m infrastructure scheme on behalf of a local authority. Scope of works on this project has included earthworks, infrastructure works, coastal defences, revetments & drainage etc.

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining a busy commercial team whilst reporting to a Managing Quantity Surveyor on various commercial duties (but not limited to):

  • Accurate monthly forecasting
  • Change control management and producing compensation events
  • Sending enquiries to subcontractors
  • Cashflow forecasts
  • Producing and processing formal subcontract documents
  • Producing interim and final accounts

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

  • A degree in a Quantity Surveying subject or equivalent
  • Understanding of civil engineering or infrastructure projects would be an advantage
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a generous package plus opportunities to progress further within the business. The contractor will also provide support required for any professional accreditation that you may seek including chartership. You will also get the opportunity to work on all stages of the construction process as they self deliver on various projects.
