My client is a long established, leading Civil Engineering Contractor. They are presently delivering a major Groundworks Project which involves some RC elements and forms part of a £500m + project in Bristol. Additional elements comprise drainage systems and a new car park comprising 2000+ spaces.
The Site Engineer will be responsible for setting out, as-builts and quality assurance. This phase of the project has a duration of at least 12 months but with the possibility of at least 2-3 years of work. At this time our client would consider those individuals seeking either permanent or long term contract work.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Setting out roads, structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
- Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
- Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
- Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
- Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
- Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
