An M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) Project Manager is required to oversee a £20m package of a larger scheme in Sheffield. Working as part of the project and wider team, you'll report into the regional Building Services Manager, having full control of managing the M&E sub-contractor and liaising with the client on project progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of M&E packages, coordinating specialist designers and contractors to ensure seamless integration.
- Financial Management: Control project budgets, negotiate with suppliers, process payments, and provide commercial reporting.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all installation and testing work aligns with CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations and site safety standards.
- Quality & Commissioning: Oversee quality assurance, equipment testing, and the commissioning process prior to client handover.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
- 5+ years in a project management or delivery role handling multi-disciplinary M&E projects.
- SMSTS and CSCS card; PRINCE2, PMP, or APM qualifications are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, power distribution, lighting, and building management systems (BMS).
Key Skills:
- Risk Management: Ability to identify and resolve on-site issues and project dependencies quickly.
- Stakeholder Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between clients, main contractors, and specialist supply chains.
