A Building Services Manager is required to oversee a Β£20m package of a larger scheme in Sheffield. Working as part of the project and wider team, you'll report into the regional Building Services Manager, having full control of managing the M&E sub-contractor and liaising with the client on project progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of M&E packages, coordinating specialist designers and contractors to ensure seamless integration.
  • Financial Management: Control project budgets, negotiate with suppliers, process payments, and provide commercial reporting.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all installation and testing work aligns with CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations and site safety standards.
  • Quality & Commissioning: Oversee quality assurance, equipment testing, and the commissioning process prior to client handover.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • 5+ years in a project management or delivery role handling multi-disciplinary M&E projects.
  • SMSTS and CSCS card; PRINCE2, PMP, or APM qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, power distribution, lighting, and building management systems (BMS).

Key Skills:

  • Risk Management: Ability to identify and resolve on-site issues and project dependencies quickly.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between clients, main contractors, and specialist supply chains.
  • Digital Literacy: Familiarity with modern construction tools like CAD, BIM, and project scheduling software.
