We're looking for an experienced Senior Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to lead and support environmental initiatives across operational sites throughout Hertfordshire and the surrounding region. This role is key to embedding sustainability into day-to-day operations and company culture, ensuring environmental compliance, reducing environmental impact, and supporting the delivery of Net Zero objectives.
You'll work closely with operational and project teams, promoting sustainable best practice and providing hands-on support across multiple live sites. The Role
- Lead and support environmental and sustainability initiatives across operational projects
- Promote environmental best practice and continuous improvement across site teams
- Support the implementation of Net Zero and carbon reduction strategies
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and company procedures
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and environmental risk assessments
- Assist operational teams in mitigating environmental risks and improving sustainability performance
- Analyse environmental data and support reporting requirements
- Deliver training, guidance, and presentations to internal stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Proven passion for environmental sustainability and conservation
- Strong understanding of Net Zero principles and carbon reduction strategies
- Practical experience managing environmental risks on construction or infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and influence operational teams
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and environmental reporting tools
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites
